Fellowship Program 2027
The Hagler Institute for Advanced Study at Texas A&M
University is accepting applications for the Chancellor’s National
Academy STEM Ph.D. Fellowship Program 2027. The fellowship supports
outstanding doctoral students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics (STEM) fields.
Mathematics
The program provides selected students with the opportunity
to pursue Ph.D. studies at Texas A&M University while collaborating
with a member of a national academy and a rising-star faculty member.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Earn a
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field by August 2027. A master’s degree
is not required.
- Have a
cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.9 or higher on a 4.0 scale in
their STEM bachelor’s program.
Compensation & Benefits
- Apply
for admission to, or already be admitted to, a participating STEM
doctoral program at Texas A&M University.
- Intend
to begin their Ph.D. studies in Fall 2027.
- Be a U.S.
resident, U.S. permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen.
- Current
doctoral students are not eligible to apply.
Application Process
Applicants must complete both of the following before
the deadline:
- Submit
an application for Fall 2027 admission to a participating STEM
Ph.D. program at Texas A&M University.
Distance Learning
- Complete
the Chancellor’s Fellowship online application through the Hagler
Institute for Advanced Study.
Application Deadline
January 18, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time
Late applications will not be accepted.
