The Gates Cambridge Scholarship
2027 is a prestigious fully funded postgraduate scholarship for
outstanding international students who wish to study at the University
of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
Each year, Gates Cambridge offers
around 80 full-cost scholarships to outstanding applicants
from countries outside the UK. Approximately two-thirds of these awards are
offered to PhD students.

What Does the Scholarship Cover?
The Gates Cambridge Scholarship covers the

- Maintenance allowance of up to £22,050 per year based
on the 2025–26 rate
- Economy-class return airfare
- Visa costs
- Immigration Health Surcharge
- Academic development funding
- Dependent Children Allowance for eligible scholars
- Fieldwork funding for eligible PhD scholars
- Maternity/Paternity funding where applicable
- Hardship funding for unforeseen difficulties
For PhD scholars, funding can be provided
for up to four years.
