THE JOB
As the Senior Operations Coordinator, you are responsible
for the end-to-end operational coordination for Rwanda and Burundi, including
inland transportation, customer service, documentation, vendor management and
shipment execution while supporting commercial growth. You will ensure
efficient operational execution, outstanding customer experience and
development of inland logistics capabilities in Rwanda and Burundi.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Operational Execution
- Coordinate
end-to-end shipment execution.
- Monitor
shipment milestones and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure
compliance with client procedures.
Customer Service
- Act as
operational contact for customers.
- Manage
enquiries and escalations.
- Provide
proactive shipment updates.
Inland Logistics
- Coordinate
carrier haulage and inland transport.
- Manage
transport providers.
- Support
cross-border cargo movements.
Documentation & Compliance
- Coordinate
shipping documentation and cargo release.
- Ensure
customs and regulatory compliance.
Vendor Management
- Monitor
vendor KPIs and service levels.
- Drive
continuous operational improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work
closely with Sales, Finance, Customer Service and regional Operations
teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
The job holder should have the following
qualifications.
- Bachelor’s
degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business or related discipline.
- Minimum
of 4–6 years’ experience in shipping, logistics or freight forwarding.
- Knowledge
of inland transport and East African transit corridors

QUALIFICATIONS

qualifications.

minimum of 2-3 years’ proven experience in high-end hospitality, fine
dining, or top-tier restaurant environments.
- Demonstrable
track record of delivering polished, attentive table service in a
fast-paced, premium venue.
- Prior
experience using a point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately handling
cash, card, and till reconciliation.
