EXTERNAL JOB VACANCY – Brewing Operator (Gisenyi Brewery)
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Brewing
Operator to join the Gisenyi Brewery. The role reports to
the Shift Brewer and is responsible for supporting the
efficient execution of the brewing processes in line with safety and
quality standards.
JOB PURPOSE
Applying the safety agenda is the daily job, operating and
executing in a quality way across processes and products, while improving key
performance indicators and reducing production losses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. SAFETY, FOOD SAFETY AND SUSTAINABILITY
- Works
in line with the defined and implemented HEINEKEN Safety, Food safety and
Sustainability standards, in the Brewing department and local
regulation(s)
- Contributes,
applies, and follows the Safety agenda in the Brewing department.
- Assures
the removal of all waste from the department premises.
- Safety
tasks are executed and sustained at the required level.
2. QUALITY OF THE PROCESS AND PRODUCT
- Makes
timely supply of all raw, auxiliary, and cleaning & disinfection
materials at the place of use.
- Makes
basic inspection of the materials to be sure that quality is not
compromised.
- Monitors
the quality of the product & process.
3. TPM AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Recognises
the tags and some of the improvement opportunities and executes the tasks
accordingly.
- Executes
the 5S, tagging process, and CILT and applies problem-solving tools.
- Participates
/ leads in the improvement teams.
4. PROCESS MANAGEMENT & CONDITION MANAGEMENT
- Operates
and executes all brewing operational processes on the machine in line with
the valid standards and procedures.
- Manages
documentation and reporting of the area of working till his / her level of
authority.
- Contributes
to the continuous improvement activities and, in case of deviations,
reports them to the Shift Brewer.
5. EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT - EQUIPMENT OPERATION &
CONTROL
- Operates
with all machines/processes.
6. QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s
degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, or related field
- 1 to
3 years’ experience from process-driven manufacturing
environments
- TPM /
Lean / 6 Sigma, etc.
- Fluent
in English and Kinyarwanda (both verbal and written)
