Preferential Tuition Rates Secured for Rwandan Students
at Kent State University, Ohio
The Higher Education Council (HEC) is pleased to inform the
public that, the Ministry of Education has reached a landmark tuition agreement
with Kent State University in Ohio, USA.
Through this agreement, Rwandan students nominated by the
Ministry of Education – including both government-sponsored and private
candidates – will now benefit from a 97% reduction in the Non-Ohio
Resident Surcharge under the Preferred Partner Tuition Rate scheme.
The adjusted tuition rates are as follows:
- Undergraduate
students will pay $6,674.55 per semester, down from the
standard $11,451.70.
- Graduate
students will pay $5,491.74 per semester, down from the
standard $9,976.86.
This initiative is part of Rwanda's broader efforts to
expand access to quality education, ease the financial burden on students
studying abroad, and strengthen global academic partnerships.
