About the Scholarship
The Rwanda TVET Board (RTB) invites
applications from eligible in-service TVET teachers serving in public and
government-aided TVET schools to apply for scholarships to pursue Bachelor
of Technology (B-Tech) programmes at Rwanda Polytechnic Colleges for
the 2026–2027 Academic Year.
The scholarship aims to strengthen the
capacity of TVET teachers by upgrading their academic qualifications and
enhancing the quality of technical and vocational
education in Rwanda.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following
requirements:
Vocational & Continuing Education
- Be a Rwandan citizen.
- Be employed as a TVET teacher or Deputy Head Teacher in charge
of Studies in a public or government-aided TVET school.
- Be 40 years of age or below at the time of application.
- Have at least three (3) years of teaching experience and have
served at least one (1) year at the current school.
- Have a Pedagogical Certificate or RTTI Certificate uploaded in
the Teacher Management Information System (TMIS).
- Be teaching core TVET subjects.
- Hold a Diploma (A1) in a technical field from a recognized
institution.
Required Application Documents
Applicants should prepare the following
documents:
Education
- Copy of Diploma (A1) from an accredited institution.
- Academic Transcript.
- Copy of Appointment Letter.
- Copy of Pedagogical Certificate or RTTI Certificate uploaded in
TMIS (CPD Certificate).
- Original Performance Evaluation Report for the 2024–2025
academic year (first and last pages) signed at District level.

Interested applicants should complete the
following steps:
- Apply for admission to Rwanda Polytechnic through the online
application portal.
- Submit the scholarship application and all required documents
through the Teacher Management Information System (TMIS).

Who Should Apply?
This scholarship is intended for qualified
in-service TVET teachers who wish to upgrade from a Diploma (A1) to a Bachelor
of Technology (B-Tech) qualification while continuing to contribute to
Rwanda’s Technical and Vocational Education and
Training (TVET) sector.
Important Notes
- Applications must be submitted online through the TMIS
platform.
- Applicants must first apply for admission to Rwanda Polytechnic
before submitting the scholarship application.
- Incomplete applications or applications submitted after the
deadline will not be considered.
- Applicants are encouraged to ensure all required documents are
uploaded correctly before submission.
