Job Purpose
RwandAir is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to
lead its commercial operations in China. The successful candidate will drive
passenger and cargo revenue growth, expand market presence, strengthen
partnerships, oversee sales performance, and align local commercial activities
with the airline's global business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop
and implement commercial strategies for the Chinese market.
- Drive
passenger and cargo sales growth.
- Manage
corporate, government, and travel trade partnerships.
- Oversee
GSAs, travel agencies, OTAs, and distribution channels.
- Monitor
market trends, competitor activities, and revenue performance.
- Lead
promotional campaigns and commercial initiatives.
- Coordinate
with airport operations, finance, cargo, and marketing teams.
- Ensure
compliance with company policies and commercial standards.
- Manage
commercial budgets and lead the country commercial team.
- Represent
RwandAir in aviation forums and stakeholder engagements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's
Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Aviation
Management, or related field.
- 7–10
years of commercial, sales, or marketing experience in the
airline or aviation industry.
- At
least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven
experience in revenue generation, sales management, and market
development.
- Experience
managing GDS, OTAs, GSAs, and travel trade.
- Experience
handling corporate and government accounts.
- Budget
management and commercial reporting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or
Master's Degree.
- Experience
working with an African airline or aviation market.
- Knowledge
of revenue management, pricing strategies, and network planning.
- Experience
with NDC and modern airline distribution technologies.
Required Skills
- Strong
airline commercial and sales management knowledge.
- Excellent
negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge
of Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, and airline reservation systems.
- Leadership,
communication, and presentation skills.
- Financial
and analytical skills.
- Ability
to work under pressure.
- Knowledge
of IATA standards is an added advantage.
- French
language skills are desirable.
