2025/2026 Rwanda Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) Timetable and Schedule Released by NESA

 




The National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA) has officially released the 2025/2026 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) Administration Schedule of Activities and Examination Timetable. As thousands of Primary Six candidates across Rwanda prepare for this important national assessment, students, parents, teachers, and school leaders are encouraged to review the official timetable and key examination dates to ensure smooth preparation.

The Primary Leaving Examination marks a significant milestone in every learner's academic journey and determines placement into the next level of education. Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly, follow examination regulations, and arrive at their examination centres on time.

2025/2026 PLE Administration Schedule

According to NESA, the examination activities will be conducted as follows:

  • 4 July 2026: Transportation of examination materials to District Headquarters. 
  • 5 July 2026: Coordination meetings, distribution of examination materials, and delivery to examination centres. 
  • 6 July 2026: Briefing of Centre Supervisors and Invigilators, seating arrangements, and preparation of examination rooms. 
  • 7–9 July 2026: Official administration of the Primary Leaving Examinations. 
  • 9 July 2026: Return of completed answer booklets and verification of examination reports. 
  • 10 July 2026: Transportation of answer booklets to the marking centre.

Important Advice for Candidates

To perform well during the examinations, candidates should:

  • Revise consistently using the national curriculum. 
  • Arrive at the examination centre early. 
  • Bring all approved writing materials. 
  • Carefully follow instructions from supervisors and invigilators. 
  • Maintain discipline and avoid examination malpractice. 
  • Get enough rest before each examination day.
