2 Positions of Plant Pathology Technician at Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Developement Board (RAB): (Deadline Aug 6, 2026)
Job responsibilities
- Assist in plant disease diagnostics and pathology
experiments - Collect and process plant samples for disease analysis. - Prepare
media, reagents, and solution for laboratory use. - Maintain accurate and
detailed laboratory records, including sample information, diagnostic results,
and experimental data. - Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of
laboratory equipment, and other relevant instruments. - Support disease
screening in laboratory and greenhouse settings - Data analysis and preparation
of technical reports - Ensure implementation of biosafety and waste management
procedures. - Provide technical support to plant pathologists and other
researchers and laboratory personnel - Ensure timely planning, requisition and
procurement of Lab materials/ consumables and equipment, - Contribute to
maintaining a safe work environment, for personnel, customers, equipment and
facilities - Ensure effective and efficient management of resources and assets
under his responsibilities - Support laboratory inventory management -
Undertake other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology
5 Years of relevant experience
Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry
5 Years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Protection
5 Years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology
5 Years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Plant Pathology
5 Years of relevant experience
