REB Revised Eligibility and required documents to apply for in-service Teachers scholarship 2026
Are you an in-service teacher looking to
advance your career? The Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB), in
partnership with the Higher Education Council (HEC), has officially
announced 300 scholarship opportunities for the 2026-2027 academic year.
These scholarships are specifically for undergraduate studies at the University
of Rwanda - College of Education (URCE).
Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure
your application is submitted correctly through the Teacher Management and
Information System (TMIS).
Phase 1: Check Your Eligibility
Before starting your application, ensure
you meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: Must be a Rwandan
citizen.
- Age: Not more than 35 years old.
- Qualifications:
- Must hold a High School Certificate (A2) in Education,
- be a certified teacher with A2 in other combinations, or
- hold a Diploma (A1) in Education.
- Experience: At least three years
of relevant teaching experience.
- Conduct: Must not have been
previously suspended for a period exceeding three months.
