University of Verona Scholarships for International Master’s Students 2026/2027: (Deadline 31 March 2026)

The University of Verona hereby announces a public selection for pre-admission to the following International Master’s degree programmes and for the award of 16 scholarships and 48 reduced student registration fees (flat rate) for students holding a foreign academic degree, of non-Italian citizenship (except where dual citizenship is held), not already resident in Italy:

Successful candidates will be provided with a “pre-admission letter” which will be necessary to start the enrolment procedures.

Aim and Benefits of University of Verona Masters Scholarship

15 scholarships and 48 subsidized student grants (flat rate) for students with a foreign qualification, non-Italian citizenship (except in cases of dual citizenship), and not already resident in Italy who are enrolling in international master’s degree programs at the University of Verona for the 2026/2027 academic year.

For the academic year 2026/2027, particularly deserving students may also apply for:

  • a scholarship of €8,000 (gross amount) plus a student fee exemption (for a total of 16 scholarship)
  • reduced student fee (flat rate) of € 1.000 each (including regional tax and stamp duty), valid for two academic years for non-EU candidates, with a maximum of 4 students per Master’s degree (for a total of 48 exemptions)

Students who are awarded a scholarship will only need to pay the regional tax and stamp duty, for a total of € 205 and will be considered for accommodation space at the ESU university residence, within the limits of the total number of places reserved for international students, if they apply for it.

Requirements for University of Verona Masters Scholarship Qualification

  1. Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to take part in the selection process:
    • a Bachelor’s degree (minimum), or foreign equivalent qualification;
    • knowledge of the English language and/or other foreign language at the level required for each degree programme
    • additional specific requirements may apply depending on each degree programme
  2. A qualification is considered suitable if its curriculum includes the knowledge and skills relevant to the subject areas included in the table of admissions requirements and evaluation criteria. A foreign qualification is considered suitable if its curriculum meets the curricular requirements and preparation required for admission to the relevant Master’s degree programme. Students who are close to completing their degree may also apply, provided they graduate by 30 June 2026.
  3. Please note that admission requirements may vary depending on each Degree programme.

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Verona Masters Scholarship

  • Master’s degree programme’s coordinators, having confirmed that the submitted applications are complete and in order, will grant pre-admission to candidates whose prior academic qualifications meet the curricular requirements and demonstrate the level of preparation necessary to pursue the chosen study programme.
  • Candidates will be informed via e-mail about the results of the selection procedure for pre-admission by the dates – specific for each programme.

How to Apply

Applications for this Call must be submitted by completing the online application form and attaching the following documents:

  • a scanned copy of your ID. Non-EU applicants will need to submit a scanned copy of their passport (please only send the pages relating to your personal information);
  • copy of your three-year university degree certificate1 (EQF level 6 or higher), or a certificate of enrolment or self-certification which states the expected completion date;
  • academic transcript (in English) for the completed degree and for any postgraduate studies completed. This should include a list of all the modules/exams taken (transcript of records o diploma supplement) and, if possible, details of the ECTS credits gained, the weighted average, and reference range for minimum and maximum marks;
  • CV with study and work experience included, written in English (max. 2 pages);
  • cover letter (where requested);
  • certificate of English language competence, or other language certificates (where required) 2 . Please note: language certificates must have been obtained by the candidate at the time of applying;
  • other specific qualifications or documents relevant to the application (optional);
  • payment receipt for the €50 pre-admission fee.

Pre-admission fee of € 50 will be deducted from the amount of fees owed by those who complete their enrolment, with the exception of scholarship winners. At the end of the application process, the system will issue a receipt confirming the submission of the application containing a sequential number based on the chronological order of submission. Each candidate may apply for no more than two degree programmes. Once the procedure is complete, the choice of programmes cannot be changed.

Please note: the application procedure can only be completed once the payment receipt for the pre-admission fee has been uploaded.
