The process covers initial login and the mandatory steps to set up 2FA for enhanced account security.
Step 0: The Guide Overview
This guide details the process of logging in and setting up Two-Factor Authentication.
Step 1: Initial Login to CAMIS
To access your account, navigate to the official CAMIS 2.0 website: camis.nesa.gov.rw.
Action: Click the "Login" button to proceed to the sign-in page.
Action: Enter your Username (which is your staff number or Teacher ID) and your Password.
Action: Click "Login".
Step 2: Mandatory Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Setup
If 2FA is mandatory for your user group, you will be automatically redirected to the "Register a one-time password authenticator" page immediately after your first successful login.
Action: You will be directed to the "Set Up Two-Factor Authentication" page, which displays a QR code.
Important: Do not scan the QR code yet. Your next action is to complete the app installation in Step 3.
Step 3: Install Google Authenticator
You need to install the Google Authenticator app on your mobile phone to generate the one-time codes.
