ARCOS NETWORK,in partnership with Reforest Action,is implementing the MuLaKira Project,which aims to plant 2 900 000 carbon trees across various  model in the coming plant season. To support this important initiative,ACROS is seeking to engage temporary  field  Assistants as the clear  announcement below:

 

Join the Green Revolution: Temporary Field Positions Open for the MuLaKiLa Tree Planting Project

The Albertine Rift Conservation Society (ARCOS Network), in partnership with Reforest'Action, is calling on passionate individuals to join a critical environmental initiative: the MuLaKiLa Project. This ambitious project aims to plant a staggering 2,900,000 carbon trees across various models in the coming planting season, contributing significantly to climate action and local ecological restoration.
To support the on-ground implementation of this massive undertaking, ARCOS is seeking dedicated individuals for temporary field positions in the Ngororero & Rutsiro Districts. This is a unique opportunity to be directly involved in a high-impact conservation effort.

Available Positions and Key Details

The project is recruiting for two distinct roles, offering a total of 240 temporary positions for a short-term duration, from Mid-November to the end of December 2025.

1. A2-Level Field Assistants (160 Positions)

This role is ideal for community members eager to contribute directly to the planting process.
Main Responsibilities:
Assist in seedling distribution and tree planting activities.
Support daily reporting of planting progress.
Qualifications:
Minimum of A2 education level (secondary school).
Must be residing in or near the target cell.
Experience in community or environmental activities is an added advantage.
Compensation: A daily allowance of 5,000 RWF is provided. Payment will be made after 15 working days. This allowance includes 1,000 Rwf for refreshment and 4,000 Rwf for transport.

2. A0-Level Field Technicians (80 Positions)

This role requires a higher level of technical and coordination skill, focusing on the management and data integrity of the project.
Main Responsibilities:
Support coordination of tree planting activities.
Manage planting registry and ensure accurate field data collection using the MIS system.
Provide daily technical guidance to field assistants.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (A0) in Environmental Studies, Forestry, Agriculture, or a related field.
Prior experience in similar responsibilities is highly preferred.
Strong field coordination and reporting skills.
