RE: Invitation of Deputy Headteacher in
charges of Studies (DoS) of secondary school, Headteachers of primary schools
and One District Education Officer to attend the training on the effective
implementation of Co Curricula program.
To strengthen the capacity of school
leaders to effectively implement, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of
Co Curricula program, the Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB) in collaboration
with development partners is organizing a training for Deputy Head Teachers in
charge of Studies (DoS), School Head Teachers, and District Education
Officials.
The training aims to equip participants
with knowledge of the Co-Curricular Programme and enhance their understanding
of how to effectively implement co-curricular activities in schools. The main
outcome of the training will be the development of school timetables that
effectively incorporate co-curricular activities alongside regular teaching and
learning activities. Invited participants are requested to come prepared with
all the necessary information and details required to support the development
of their school timetables.
In this regard, I kindly request your
office to authorize the Deputy Head Teacher in charge of Studies from each
secondary school (or the Head Teacher where no Deputy Head Teacher in charge of
Studies is available), the Head Teacher of each primary school, and one
District Education Officer to attend the training from 8 to 24 August 2026
at La Palme Hotel, Musanze District planned in 8 phases as per
attached and first day of each phase is reserved for travel. Mission allowance
and transport will be covered by the respective schools/districts, while
training costs and lunch will be covered by REB Partners.
