If you are dissatisfied with the 2025–2026
National Examination results, you can submit an official appeal regarding your
marks, school placement, or identification errors (such as names or date of
birth).
Step-by-Step Appeal Process
Access the Official Portal
- Visit the official NESA appeals platform.
- Locate the "Official Appeals Portal" section labeled
"National Examination Appeal."
- Search Your Candidate Record
- Enter the student's Index Number in the designated field.
- Click Start Appeal to retrieve your examination
details.
- Verify Candidate Summary
- Review the system-generated profile to confirm your identity.
Details include:
- Index Number
- Full Names
- Father's and Mother's Names
- Examination Level (e.g., Ordinary Level
- Confirm Identity via OTP
- Select a parent/guardian phone number to receive a One-Time
Password (OTP) via SMS.
- Choose either FATHER or MOTHER (phone numbers
will be partially masked for privacy).
- Click Send code.
- Enter the verification code received on the selected phone
number to proceed.
- Select Appeal Type
- Choose the category that matches your grievance:
- Placement Appeal: If you are
dissatisfied with the school assigned to you.
- Marks Appeal: If you wish to
challenge your subject scores.
- Identification Appeal: To correct
personal data errors (e.g., misspelled names or incorrect birth dates).
- Submit Details and Supporting Information
- Provide a clear and detailed explanation supporting your
request.
- Attach relevant supporting documentation if prompted.
- Click Submit to send your appeal to NESA.
- Save your reference details to track the appeal status on the
system.

Formulate clear, concise justifications before opening the form.
- Double-Check Index Number: Ensure
accuracy when entering candidate credentials.
- Verify Phone Connectivity: Ensure
the selected parent/guardian phone number is active and capable of
receiving SMS codes immediately.
- Adhere to Deadlines: Ensure all
submissions are completed within the official window (August 21–28, 2026).
