Ntare Louisenlund International School
Rwanda (NLS) has announced the PLUS-STEM scholarship, a programme offering full
scholarships to students who excel in Mathematics, Science and English at the
end of primary school.
What the scholarship offers
The PLUS-STEM scholarship gives
high-performing students the opportunity to receive a full scholarship to study
at Ntare Louisenlund School, based on outstanding performance in Mathematics,
Science and English.
How students are selected
After the national Primary Leaving
Examinations (P6), Rwanda’s National Examination and School Inspection
Authority (NESA) identifies around 200 top-performing students in these
subjects and forwards their list to NLS.
Bet Crypto & Win Crypto!
From August 21 to 23, 2026, NLS will
contact the families of shortlisted students to invite them to Selection Days,
where the students will sit further assessments. From this group, 80 students
will be awarded the scholarship.
Important notices for parents and guardians
- No application is required. Students
cannot apply for this scholarship directly, and NLS does not compile the
initial shortlist — that comes from NESA based on national exam results.
- Contact deadline: If your
family has not been contacted by NLS by August 23, 2026, it means your
child was not shortlisted.
- No fees involved. Being
shortlisted and attending Selection Days is completely free of charge.
- Beware of scams. Parents are
urged to be cautious of individuals falsely claiming to represent NLS and
requesting payment to secure a child’s selection or shortlist placement.
Any such request for money is fraudulent.
About the scholarship
The PLUS-STEM scholarship reflects Ntare
Louisenlund School’s commitment to recognizing and supporting Rwanda’s
strongest young talent in Mathematics, Science and English, giving them access
to a world-class education regardless of financial background.
