Call for Applications: Innovative School Projects for 2026 International Teachers' Day
In preparation for the 25th International Teachers' Day Celebration in October 2026, the Ministry of Education, through the Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB), is calling on both public and private schools across the country to submit their most innovative projects.
This year’s celebration aims to recognize outstanding teachers and schools that have demonstrated exceptional innovation in addressing educational challenges and enhancing student learning outcomes.
💡 Project Innovation Pillars
Submitted projects must align with at least one of the following five innovation pillars:
Quality Learning and Pedagogical Excellence
Digital Transformation and ICT Integration
Skills Development, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation
Community Outreach and Socio-Economic Development
Inclusive Education, Teacher Welfare, and School Wellbeing
📅 Important Details & Deadlines
Application Window: 21 July 2026 – 21 August 2026
Submission Format: Online only. Paper-based submissions will not be accepted.
Awards Ceremony: Winning schools will be officially recognized and awarded during the Teachers' Day celebration on 5 October 2026 following a national screening, evaluation, and field verification process.
