Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) Rwanda is
recruiting an Associate, Data Scientist to support the
Ministry of Health and the National Health Intelligence Center (NHIC) in
strengthening data-driven decision-making and health system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct
advanced data analytics, statistical modeling, and predictive analysis.
- Develop
machine learning models and forecasting tools for health data.
- Improve
data quality, governance, and integrity across health information systems.
- Design
dashboards, reports, and decision-support tools for policymakers.
- Support
AI development through feature engineering and high-quality datasets.
- Mentor
junior analysts and contribute to data science capacity building.
Requirements
- Master's
degree in Data Science, Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Informatics,
Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Operations Research, or related
field.
- 5–8
years of experience in advanced analytics, statistics, or data science.
- Strong
skills in Python, R, SQL, data visualization, and machine learning.
- Experience
working with large-scale datasets, preferably in the health sector.
- Strong
analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
