Successful candidates will play a key role in implementing Competency-Based Training (CBT), managing institutional operations, developing infrastructure, and providing student support services. All applicants will undergo a Psychometric Test and Written Examination, with selected senior positions also requiring an Oral Examination.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must meet the following general requirements:
· Possess the academic qualifications required for the applied position.
· Have the minimum years of relevant work experience (where applicable).
· Demonstrate high integrity and professional ethical standards.
· Have knowledge of the TVET system and education sector (for relevant positions).
· Be fluent in English; some positions may require proficiency in French and/or Kinyarwanda.
· Successfully pass the required examinations (Psychometric, Written, and Oral where applicable).
· Provide proof of professional registration for regulated positions (e.g., Engineers, Quantity Surveyors).

Leadership & Administration Roles
1. Headteacher
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and coordinate the annual school action plan and budget.
Ensure strict compliance with national TVET regulations and pedagogical standards.
Provide professional leadership to both teaching and non-teaching staff.
Oversee the management of school finances and infrastructure.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of the Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC).
Financial management and strategic planning.
Proficiency in school management information systems.
2. Deputy Head Teacher in Charge of Studies
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the delivery of daily teaching and learning activities.
Organize Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for teachers.
Manage the school timetable and examination cycles.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in pedagogical monitoring and evaluation.
Advanced classroom management and curriculum mapping skills.
3. Deputy Head Teacher in Charge of Discipline
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage trainee conduct and adherence to school rules.
Provide student counseling and career guidance.
Promote extracurricular activities, including sports and culture.
Technical Skills:
Conflict resolution and mediation techniques.
Strong interpersonal communication and mentorship abilities.
Technical & Engineering Roles
4. TVET Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the installation and maintenance of complex technical workshop equipment.
Provide technical guidance on electro-mechanical projects within the TVET sector.
Ensure all engineering activities meet national safety and quality standards.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Diagnostic skills for industrial machinery and electrical systems.
Must be a Registered Engineer with the Institute of Engineers Rwanda.
5. Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct feasibility studies and prepare cost estimates for school infrastructure projects.
Manage procurement processes and contract administration.
Monitor project progress to ensure costs stay within budget.
Technical Skills:
Advanced mathematical modeling and cost analysis.
Knowledge of Rwandan construction laws and procurement procedures.
Teaching & Support Roles
6. IT Technician / Electrical / Construction Teachers
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver practical demonstrations and theoretical lessons in workshops.
Maintain and troubleshoot lab/workshop equipment (PCs, electrical panels, etc.).
Assess student competencies through practical assignments.
Technical Skills:
IT: Network administration, hardware maintenance, and software troubleshooting.
Electrical: Wiring, circuit design, and power systems management.
Construction: Blueprint reading, masonry, and structural safety.
7. Logistician / Secretary
Key Responsibilities:
Logistician: Manage the supply chain, inventory, and distribution of school materials.
Secretary: Handle official correspondence, filing, and front-desk management.
Technical Skills:
Inventory management software and data entry.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Core Competencies (Required for All Roles)
Integrity: High ethical standards in managing public resources.
Communication: Fluency in English (required) and Kinyarwanda; French is an asset.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate across different departments.
Digital Literacy: Proficiency in digital tools for reporting and administration.
Key responsibilities vary by position but may include:
· Planning and delivering competency-based training.
· Supervising teaching and learning activities.
· Conducting student assessments and providing feedback.
· Maintaining tools, machines, and training equipment.
· Managing school administration, logistics, and assets.
· Ensuring discipline and coordinating school operations.
· Supporting ICT systems, e-learning platforms, and infrastructure.
· Overseeing construction and MEP projects in compliance with standards.
· Preparing reports, budgets, strategic plans, and procurement documentation.
· Ensuring adherence to government regulations and professional standards.
Senior and technical roles require strong analytical skills, leadership, project management abilities, and professional registration where applicable.
