Re: Invitation to Lower Primary English
Teachers for a Two-Day Training on English Literacy Instruction
The Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB) has
revised the Lower Primary English syllabus, introducing a new approach to
English literacy instruction. In collaboration with its partners, REB has
developed teaching and learning materials to support the revised syllabus and
enhance learners' English competencies.
To ensure the effective utilization of
these materials, REB is organizing the second-round training for Lower Primary
English teachers from the seven districts listed above, we kindly request your
support in inviting the same teachers, who attended round one, to participate
in this important training, according to the schedule outlined below.
The training sessions will take place as
follows:
- February 14-15, 2026 in the
districts of Gisagara, Ngororero and Gasabo
- February 21-22, 2026 in the
districts of Rusizi and Kirehe
- February 28-March 1, 2026 in the
districts of Gakenke and Karongi
The specific venues are listed in the annex
attached to this letter. All participants are expected to arrive at the
training site by 8:00 a.m. to ensure the workshop starts on time. All costs
related to this training will be covered by the LIFT Program.
