Professional Scholarship Opportunity for African Students
The American University of Beirut (AUB), in partnership with
the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, is inviting applications for fully-funded
scholarships for the Fall 2026–2027 academic year. This initiative
supports highly talented and motivated students to pursue undergraduate,
master’s, and PhD studies, enabling them to achieve academic excellence without
financial constraints.

Eligibility Criteria:
- On-Campus
Master’s: Citizens of African countries, Lebanon, and refugees in
Africa or Lebanon
- PhD
Programs: Citizens of African countries and refugees in Africa
- Online
Master’s: Citizens of African countries
- Undergraduate
Programs: African students through AUB partner institutions
General Requirements:
- Maximum
age: 35 years
- Strong
academic performance in previous studies
- Demonstrated
leadership potential and commitment to community engagement
- Commitment
to attending required leadership workshops and training
- Proficiency
in English (accepted tests: AUB-EN, TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic, GRE Verbal,
GMAT Verbal, or Duolingo English Test)

Graduate Programs: Master’s degrees (Thesis & Non-Thesis),
PhD programs across selected disciplines
- Online
Graduate Programs: Master’s in Engineering Management, Computing
in Education, MBA, Nursing Administration & Management, Executive
Master’s in Healthcare Leadership
Application Procedure:
- On-Campus
Master’s & PhD: Submit the AUB online graduate application
with all supporting documents and select the Mastercard Foundation
Scholars Program under Financial Opportunities. Master’s applicants must
also complete the AUB Financial Aid Application.
- Online
Master’s: Submit the online graduate application, all required
documents, and RUSE scores.
Required Documents:
- Academic
transcripts and certificates
- Identification
or proof of refugee status (if applicable)
- English
proficiency test scores (RUSE)
- Any
additional documents required by the selected academic program
