DGIST Summer Research Internship 2026 in South Korea (Fully Funded)
The DGIST Summer Research Internship 2026 in South Korea is
now accepting applications. International students from all around the world
are welcome to enroll in this fully sponsored summer program. The internship
will take place at the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology
(DGIST) for six weeks, from June 29 to August 7, 2026.
Undergraduate and graduate students interested in obtaining
research experience in a vibrant academic setting are eligible to apply.
Working closely under the guidance and supervision of DGIST faculty members,
participants will have the chance to investigate a variety of research areas
available at the DGIST Graduate School. The purpose of the internship is to
expose students to cutting-edge scientific and technical innovation, foster
academic collaboration, and improve research abilities.
The curriculum gives students the opportunity to learn more
about the customs and heritage of Korea through a variety of cultural
experiences, field trips, and scheduled tours, in addition to academic and

Eligibility Criteria:
- Since
the program is available to candidates worldwide and is not restricted by
nationality, applicants are allowed to apply from any country.
- Undergraduate
and graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited university or
other higher education institution are eligible for the internship.
- At the
time of application, candidates must have successfully finished at least
four semesters of their degree program, or its equivalent.
- Strong
academic achievement is ensured by a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA)
of at least 3.0 out of 4.3, or a comparable academic criterion.
- Because
the internship, research, and academic communication will all be conducted
in English, applicants must show that they are proficient in the language.
- This
internship program is not open to students who presently have a Korean
student visa.
