Job responsibilities
The head of health center is responsible of overseeing and
coordinating the activities of the health center in accordance with
instructions and plans developed by the Health Center Health Committee. He/she
must ensure that decisions of the Health Committee are implemented effectively
and efficiently throughout the health center and must ensure the efficient
planning and utilization of all health center resources in order to achieve the
organization’s goals. This entails the management of human resources, supplies,
revenues, and physical and capital assets based on detailed plans developed for
all aspects of the health center’s operations. Ensure patients are cared for in
a clean and safe environment taking remedial action if standards are not
maintained. ·
Driving the infection prevention and control agenda and challenging poor
practice. ·
Undertake root cause analysis and develop action plans, ensuring that this
leads to change in practice. ·
Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, relatives and
staff to contribute to the active resolution of potentially complex situations,
conflicts and issues. ·
Monitor and maintain excellent clinical standards within clinical teams, · Ensure that nursing and
other staff complies with policies and procedures. ·
Manages staff with direct responsibility for the continuous performance
review/appraisal ·
Support the development and implementation health training programs within area
of responsibility. · Work
in collaboration with the District Hospital to monitor and regulate training
and development of all staff to ensure that all staff receives capacity buil · Perform other
work-related duties as assigned ·
Submit monthly, quarterly and annual report to the supervisor N.B. Every

Job responsibilities
1. Under the supervision of Project Program Manager of
Empowering Nyamasheke’s Vulnerable Communities project, the environmental and
social safeguards specialist will be responsible of identifying and overseeing
social safeguards issues and implementing appropriate measures in project’s
implementation area. 2. Prepare, supervise and implement the activities related
to environment and social safeguards , 3. Ensure effective integration of
social safeguard considerations into all aspects of consultation, planning and
implementation of project activities; 4. Work closely with officials of
District and sector in all process of social safeguards 5. Prepare all
documents related to process of social safeguards activities, 6. Define and
subsequently monitor, suitable social indicators for projects, 7. Provide
social safeguards inputs to monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities, 8.
Monitor the implementation of the Environmental and Social Management Plan
(ESMP), Stakeholders Engagement Plan (SEP) and Gender Action Plan (GAP), 9.
Follow up of the environmental aspects in projects sites 10. Prepare and Submit
the daily situational report, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual project
activities reporting as needed 11. Support and guide Project Manager and District
Officials in technical matters related to Project Environmental and Social
Safeguards and ensure the quality reporting; 12. Immediately report to Project
Manager and District Officials of any incident happening at the site
(Staff/workers accidents, any environmental catastrophes, etc); 13. Facilitate
and ensure trainings of Environment & Social Project stakeholders,
community and local institutions in environmental management including
community health and safety; 14. Oversee all the Environmental and social
aspects of all project activities implemented under the Project; 15. Assist the
Project Manager in analyzing technical feasibility of project activities during
implementation, with particular emphasis on environmental, social, health and
safeguards issues; 16. Assist the Project Manager to respond to the technical
support requests from the community, private operators, and other beneficiaries
of the project and take necessary actions; 17. Perform any other relevant tasks
