General Requirements for All Positions

Across all departments, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Teaching Portfolio: Must have a teaching portfolio assessed as satisfactory for the respective level.

• Publications:

  • Lecturer: Proof of at least two publication points in UR-recognized peer-reviewed journals.

  • Senior Lecturer: Proof of at least five publication points, three of which must have been earned since the last promotion.

• Experience:

  • Senior Lecturer: At least three years of teaching experience as a lecturer from a recognized institution of higher learning.

  • Lecturer: Teaching experience is not required but is considered an added value.

• Supervision (Senior Lecturer Only): Evidence of successfully supervising at least two master's students.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Selected staff will generally be responsible for:

• Teaching: Delivering modules related to their specific expertise.

• Research: Conducting research, publishing in internationally recognized journals, and securing research funds.

• Mentorship: Supervising, advising, and mentoring junior staff and graduate students.

• Curriculum Development: Assisting in the development of new curricula.

• Administration: Participating in committee, departmental, and faculty meetings.
