Your Advanced Level Certificates Are Coming! NESA Announces Distribution Plan for 2024/2025
The wait is almost over! The National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA) has released its definitive schedule for the distribution of the Advanced Level Certificates for candidates who successfully completed their secondary education in the 2024/2025 academic year.
This announcement is crucial for all secondary school graduates, their families, and their future educational or professional plans. Here's a quick rundown of what you need to know and how you can get your official certificate.
Key Distribution Information
NESA has made clear how certificates will be handled for different groups:
Private Candidates: You must collect your certificate in person. Bring the original presentation of your official identification cards or passports. No exceptions.
School-Based Candidates: Your certificates will be collected by your respective schools. You will then collect the certificate from the school you attended.
Delegated Collection: If you cannot collect your certificate personally (for private candidates) or if your school authorizes a representative, the delegate must present the certificate holder’s ID card and a notarized Power of Attorney.
School Leaders: Heads of schools can request to collect the certificates directly from NESA starting on October 13, 2025, by following the published schedule.
Certificate Distribution Schedule
The distribution plan is meticulously organized by district and is divided into two main categories: General Education and TTCs (A) and TVET Schools (B).
A: Certificates for General Education and TTCs
The distribution for General Education and TTCs runs from Thursday, October 16, 2025, through Thursday, October 30, 2025.
B: Certificates for TVET Schools
The distribution for TVET Schools starts slightly later, running from Friday, October 31, 2025, through Friday, November 14, 2025.
Final Check: Be Prepared!
To ensure a smooth collection process, please verify the following:
Check the full schedule (as published by NESA) to confirm the exact date and time slot for your district.
If you are a private candidate, prepare your original ID/passport.
If you are collecting on behalf of someone else, ensure your Power of Attorney is properly notarized.
If you attended a school, your collection will be arranged through the school after they receive the certificates.
This is a significant milestone, and having your official certificate in hand is the final step in your secondary education journey. Follow the schedule, bring the correct documents, and celebrate your achievement!
