How to Apply for a Chevening Scholarship (with Full Eligibility List)

1. Application Period

• Applications are open now (as of 5 August 2025 at 12:00 UTC) and will close on 7 October 2025 at 12:00 UTC CheveningGOV.UK.

2. Eligibility Requirements (as a summary)

To apply, you must:

• Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
• Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for graduate study in the UK.
• Have at least 2 years (2,800 hours) of professional work experience after graduation.
• Intend to return home for a minimum of two years after your studies Chevening.

• Three UK master’s course choices
• References (2)
• Four essays (leadership, networking, career vision, reasons for your course)
5. Submit by the deadline (7 October 2025, 12:00 UTC).
6. If longlisted, prepare for an interview with your local British embassy/high commission.
