Position Title: One Health Administrative Assistant

Reports to: Chair, Center for One Health

Group/Department: Center for One Health, University of Global Health Equity  (UGHE)

 Location: Kigali and Butaro, Rwanda

Role Overview:

The One Health Administrative Assistant will support the Center for One Health by providing administrative and program coordination, contributing to curriculum development and research, and acting as a focal point for students, staff, and faculty involved in One Health initiatives.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support academic processes related to research, curriculum, and student/faculty coordination
  • Manage logistics for One Health experiences and events
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Coordinate flight bookings, transportation, and meeting schedules
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and manage team calendar
  • Assist in research with students, faculty, and institutional partners
  • Develop presentations and contribute to academic materials
  • Organize and support classroom logistics and setup

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Fluency in English; French or Portuguese is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative role
  • Strong logistics and planning abilities
  • Experience working with adult learners and faculty
  • Familiarity with Rwanda or similar contexts
  • Ability to manage plans and use data for decision-making
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural collaboration skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and learning management systems
