Call for Applications: Bachelor of Science with Honours in Midwifery (2025/2026)
The University of Rwanda (UR), through the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), is pleased to invite applications for the Bachelor of Science with Honours in Midwifery.
This full-time program runs for four semesters and will start in the 2025/2026 academic year. Applicants will be admitted as private (self-sponsored) students, according to the University of Rwanda tuition fee scheme.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, candidates must meet the following conditions:

Academic Qualification: Hold an Advanced Diploma (A1) in Midwifery.

Academic Records: Submit certified copies of transcripts and certificates with a minimum average score of 65%.

Professional License: Provide a valid NCNM certificate of registration and license to practice as an A1 Midwife.

Motivation Letter: Submit a letter (max 300 words) addressed to the Principal, CMHS.

Identification: Include a photocopy of your national ID or passport.

Photographs: Submit two recent passport-size photos (white background).

Language Requirement: Demonstrate proficiency in English, the language of instruction.

Entry Exam: Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for an exam.

Apply in person by submitting all required documents to the Department of Midwifery, CMHS, Remera Campus by July 30th, 2025.
2. Generate Reference Number & PIN

Click “New Application” to create an account

Fill in personal details to generate a student reference number and PIN (record and keep them).
3. Pay the Application Fee

Rwandan & EAC citizens: 5,000 RWF

International applicants: 6,000 RWF

🔹 Note: UR graduates should use the reference number on their transcripts and proceed to pay directly to the bank.
4. Complete the Application Form
Obtain and fill in the hard copy application form at the Central Secretariat or the Department of Midwifery, Remera Campus.
