How to Apply

1

Prepare Required Documents

Before starting your application, gather the following items:

· School Transcript: Upload a copy of your most recent school transcript. Official paid transcripts are NOT required. For high school seniors, transcripts must include the first semester/trimester of your senior year.

· Reference Information: Provide the email address and full name of a reference who is unrelated to you. Be sure to ask them to be a reference before submitting your application.

· Special Attachments: Some scholarships require specific documents or membership verification. Check the individual scholarship descriptions within the application for details.

2

Complete the Essay Questionnaire

All applicants must complete a scholarship essay questionnaire within the application. This questionnaire includes seven questions regarding your educational and career goals, as well as your experiences in the community or at home. Each question requires at least 150 characters. This questionnaire is a significant factor in your overall score, so give it careful thought and editing. You may copy and paste your essay from Microsoft Word or another program.

3

Complete Financial Information

For the 2025-2026 application cycle, the SAI (Student Aid Index) from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is not required to consider your financial need. Instead, you will complete a financial questionnaire within the application.

Note: While the FAFSA is not required for scholarship consideration, it is still required to receive any source of federal aid (including Pell Grants, Tip, Michigan Achievement, or Student Loans).
