(RDB) is a government institution mandated to accelerate Rwanda’s economic
transformation by promoting investment, enabling private sector growth, and
facilitating business operations. By integrating multiple government services,
RDB simplifies processes for investors and entrepreneurs, positioning Rwanda as
a preferred destination for doing business.
Position Overview
RDB is seeking to recruit a
highly qualified and experienced professional to serve as:
Position Title: Senior Advisor
to Deputy CEO
Number of Positions: 1
Minimum Qualifications &
Experience
- Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Key Competencies
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Solid understanding of economic growth drivers and investment climates, particularly in emerging markets
- Proven skills in policy and strategy development
- In-depth knowledge of public-private sector linkages
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
Main Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory &
Analysis
- Provide high-level, evidence-based advice to the Deputy CEO on institutional strategy and national priorities
- Prepare policy briefs, reports, memos, and presentations for executive decision-making
- Analyze trends, risks, and opportunities to guide RDB's strategic direction
Program Delivery &
Performance Monitoring
- Coordinate and oversee implementation of high-impact initiatives across departments
- Monitor performance of priority programs, flag risks, and propose corrective actions
- Lead delivery of special projects, ensuring execution quality and measurable impact
